I played a round at Ballybunion Golf Club this week.
Except I was standing in my indoor golf club here in London.
Seeing Ballybunion added to the TrackMan library hit me harder than I expected. My grandfather was one of the early captains at the club. My father grew up there. For my family, it’s not just a famous course—it’s where our history lives.
I’ve always found it tough to articulate my family's golf heritage when it spans generations. It’s hard to summarize decades of history, quiet traditions, and shared reverence without sounding pretentious.
That deep connection is the exact inspiration behind DFLY GOLF. My hope is that the brand will reflect my heritage while continuing to innovate for my son and the generations to come.
Seeing those familiar dunes pop up on a digital screen was a surreal bridge between past and present.
It’s still brutally difficult. It’s still breathtakingly beautiful. But now, whenever I want to feel connected to home, I can just load up Ballybunion on TrackMan
